I knew I was interested in plastic surgery after my first year in medical school. I spent the summer after that first year doing research on skin characteristics with a plastic surgeon and shadowing him in the operating room. I was immediately struck by the creativity required in plastic surgery, and how each case and situation was unique. This appealed to my creative side and drew me to the specialty. Once I started along the path of plastic surgery, I became entranced by the cosmetic aspect of the field. The finesse required to achieve natural and subtle results is a skill a quality aesthetic surgeon must possess, and is an attribute inherent in me.
The best part about my job is the people in Albany and the greater capital region who I get to meet on a daily basis. As a plastic surgeon, the opportunity to make someone feel better about themselves is a responsibility that I don’t take lightly. Seeing the joy on a patient’s face and the increased confidence they have after a procedure always brings a smile to my face.
In today’s modern world, men and women have countless options for cosmetic enhancement, rejuvenation, and reconstruction. Breast augmentation patients have never had so many options for implant type, shape, and placement. Customizable mommy makeovers are giving mothers the power to regain their pre-pregnancy figures and confidence once again. Injectables and non-surgical fat reduction techniques are easily tackling concerns that previously seemed hopeless without surgery.
But as the list of plastic surgery procedures and anti-aging treatments grows, the plastic surgery world has become tricky to navigate on your own. You need a trusted partner. Someone to turn to with questions and receive honest answers.
That’s my hope for this blog.
I’m here to walk with you on your journey. Maybe that means helping you discover new ways to turn back the aging clock. Or perhaps you have a new perspective and simply want to enhance your look. It is my goal to provide information and inspiration when you need it most.
But I have to be honest. I’m not someone who believes that you should strive for unrealistic perfection or conceal every wrinkle. I believe in natural-appearing results that allow you to enhance the real you and let your inner confidence shine.
It’s important to me that I treat my patients as I would treat my own family. In that respect, I invite you to think of this blog as the “dinner table.” There’s no question you can’t ask here! I welcome your comments, questions, and feedback and I will do my very best to respond to you.
Thank you for reading and I hope to see you back here soon!
