Breast Lift Before & After Case 181

This woman in her 50’s visited our Albany, New York office to discuss her breasts.  After a couple of pregnancies, her breasts had changed and she wanted to find out what could be done to make them look more full and youthful.  She felt that she had lost some volume with each pregnancy and now felt the need to wear push up bras. 

As you can see in the photographs, she had some deflation of her breasts with loss of fullness above the bra line and some sag.  This is a quite common occurrence due to the combination of aging and pregnancies.  We elected to restore her breasts with a combination of a breast lift and implants.  The breast lift is used to treat the sag of the breasts and enhance their shape, while the implant is used to restore the volume of the breasts and create a longer lasting superior fullness.  A breast lift alone without implants would have been an option in this case.  However this would not have provided a long lasting fullness above the bra line that the implants can create. 

The trade off for a breast lift are the scars that are required.  These typically go around the areola and straight down, and sometimes in the crease of the breast as well.  In many cases, such as this woman, the scars fade away quite nicely.  Though the scars are visible in her postoperative photograph, though will continue to fad quite nicely.  She now has more youthful appearing breasts and no longer needs to wear push up bras.  The use of the 300 cc silicone implants helped us achieve a natural and youthful breast.
